2017 Summer Entertainment Series

James Island & North Charleston Wannamaker County Parks
Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission is offering yet another exciting Summer Entertainment Series at both James Island County Park and North Charleston Wannamaker County Park. The series is designed to give kids a fun-filled opportunity to visit our parks and enjoy some great entertainment.

Admission


  • Advance: $4 per child. Advance registration ends at midnight on the day before each event.
  • Day of: $5 (if available) 
  • Chaperone/Parent: Free with child admission (Chaperone to child ratio – 1:8)
  • Ages 2 & Under: Free

Magic By Chaz

Chaz will join us from Minnesota with his magic show that will mystify all.

Birds of Prey

This presentation will feature birds from all around the world.

Capoeira of Charleston

Capoeira is a blend of martial arts, game, and dance originating in Brazil. This show is both dynamic and energetic, and is set to traditional music featuring authentic Brazilian songs and instruments.

Wo’Se African Dance

Discover the art of African dance and enjoy a traditional African dance performance accompanied by the rhythmic music sounds of traditional African drumming.

Beach Finds with the South Carolina Aquarium

Come learn about the amazing critters we can find right here on our beaches! We’ll show you some common beach finds and you’ll even get to meet live animals that call the beach habitat home.

Friends of Coastal South Carolina

This exciting presentation about snakes, turtles, and alligators that live in the Lowcountry will be fun for your entire group.

Atlantic Coast Theatre for Youth

Traveling from Florida, this entertaining duo will be performing The Tortoise and The Hare…The Musical. Aesop's fable gets a fun updated twist in this musical performance with an anti-bullying message.
