| Exploring Charleston Outdoors (ECO) is an initiative that supports the Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission’s No Child Left Inside philosophy. On a year-round basis, we promote a wide range of programs that provide excellent opportunities for youth to connect with nature and the outdoors. |

ECO-BINGO |
| Our newest program, ECO-BINGO, provides a fun way for kids 12 and under to track their activities in our park system. |
|
| |
How Do I Participate?
Participation in ECO-BINGO is easy! To get started, download a Bingo card here or pick up a card at our Park & Program Services Office or any one of your county parks. Be one of the first 100 to turn in a completed bingo card and receive a free Exploring Charleston Outdoors t-shirt! |
| ECO-BINGO Rules |
|
|
Open to children ages 12 and under.
The first 100 kids to turn in a completed bingo card will receive a free ECO t-shirt.
Participants receive stickers for activities completed on the bingo card. “Bingo” can be achieved by filling in the spaces across a row on the card vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
Children will be limited to two stickers per day on their bingo card.
There are several “Choose a Bootprint” activity spaces on the card. These can be filled by participating in any family-friendly outdoor program. These programs are designated by a bootprint icon in the Quarterly Parks and Program Guide.
There will be a drawing each quarter for a family prize. Each card turned in before November 30, 2009 will be eligible for the drawing.

|
When “Bingo” is achieved, the participant can bring the card to the Park and Program Services office or the park office at James Island County Park, Palmetto Islands County Park, or Wannamaker County Park to redeem for their level one prize. If the participant elects to hold onto their card until they fill all of the spaces on the bingo card for a “blackout,” it can be redeemed for a level two prize. Only one prize will be awarded per bingo card.

We want to make it easy for you and your children to discover your natural world. In addition to ECO-BINGO, kid-friendly programs and activities that involve exploring and experiencing the outdoors are noted in the Quarterly Parks and Program Guide with a simple bootprint icon.
We encourage you and your kids to leave the electronics behind. Get out, play, learn, grow, and make the connection with nature. |
